Happy 4th of July

Waving the American Flag and waiting for the parade
Oh, Nate!
Pre-kids race warm up! This is their stretching!
Please mom, stop taking pictures of us!

We had such a fun 4th of July! We started the day off with another kids fun run! It was H-O-T!!! The boys were troopers though and had a good time. I may or may not have had to bribe Nate with ice cream to get him to run the home stretch. We then went to the big parade and waited and waited and waited. Just when we saw the first float the sky opened up and soaked us for the next 45 minutes! Eli wanted to stay and he and Sam watched the whole parade! Nate was over it about 5 floats in and he and I went home and dried off! We finished the day off with a completely fun BBQ at a friends house! Good times!

Brother Picture: July 2010

This cute picture was taken after the parade. Eli with his puppy spots and Nate the kitty. Immediately after this picture was taken they started scrapping and fell down three steps. You might not see another brother picture any time soon.

Indian Acre's Fourth of July Parade

Rocket pops with Max and Sophia after the parade!
Singing their adorable Papoose camp song. The 3-4 year old group are the Papooses!
Nate holding the sign!
Eli working the crowd with his charm and natural silliness.

Oh, do we love Indian Acres Day Camp. The boys go to swim camp/day camp from 8:30 to noon on weekday mornings. They swim (twice...including a swim lesson) they do crafts, play games, run around like maniacs...generally, have an amazing morning. This place is so much fun.

Today was the annual 4th of July parade. Each group (3-4 year olds, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12) parade twice around the circle drive and then perform a song. This week during craft time they made tie-dye t-shirts, jingle ankle bracelets to wear during the parade, patriotic beads, etc... They were totally decked out for the parade and they loved it. Nate held hands with one of his darling counselors and Eli freestyled it around the parade route.

We are so lucky to have so many wonderful kids activities to do here.

Funk's Grove

Eli climbed up a rope ladder to his "pirate ship" up in the tree

The above three pictures give you a good idea of what Nate was doing!
Hammock Brothers and their Great Aunt Val

Climbing fool!

We had such an amazing trip to Bloomington a couple of weekends ago! We went to Funk's Grove and hiked a tiny trail to the Imagination Grove! This place was a little boys dream! Tree climbing, rock hopping, river crossing, fort building, etc... It was a double treat because Aunt Valemere and Uncle Wyn came out to meet us and then we got to have lunch at their house! We anticipate many more visits to this charming place!
This is the whole group! 16 3,4, and 5 year olds! (Nate was one of two three year olds)
Checking out their medals!
High Bar Nate: This kid is a big monkey!
Crazy Guy Eli during warmup!
Group fun!

The boys finished their King Brothers little gym class a few weeks ago. This was the first time they were in a class together and they LOVED it! It was a little preview of what next year will look like! We have been with the Little Gym since Early February of 2008 and the boys have changed/grown so much! We love this place!

Paddle Boating at Crystal Lake Park

We had such a fun afternoon! There is a beautiful park in town that has a pretty little lake in it! We rented a paddle boat and spent 30 minutes going around the lake! Eli and Sam were in the paddling seat (Sam did all the paddling) while Nate and I hung out in the back! It was so much fun and the boys loved it!

Binky

This is what happens when you let Nate choose his own outfit! Snow boots, workout headband, old gym t-shirt and brown shorts! All topped off with that ridiculous smile! I love my little binky!
