The boys got adorable haircuts today! They were so good and were very flirty (big shocker) with the darling hairstylist! I love these little maniacs!
Meet the King Brothers! Eli is a gregarious, inventive older brother with a wicked since of humor and a gigantic heart! He loves books, trains, building with blocks, reading, and making up his own stories. Nate is a happy-go-lucky sweetheart with a broad streak of wild-man to make it interesting. He loves animals, painting, building with blocks, reading books, and running around like a crazy man.

Morton Arboretum Adventure
We had such a wonderful father's day weekend. On Saturday, Sam got to sleep in and then have donuts with his boys for snack! On Sunday we went to IKEA (Yes, sam was so thrilled!) because it was on the way to our ultimate destination: The Morton Arboretum! It is in the 'burb's of Chicago and it has the most amazing children's arboretum. We spent more than 2 hours there and it was not nearly enough time! There were "creeks" you could wade through, a pond to skip across, tree-houses to climb, giant flowers to buzz around, and crazy ropes to climb! We will head back in September when it cools off a bit! We had such an amazing time together!

Dear Daddy

We can't imagine that there is any more spectacular daddy in the whole world! We love you because:
-you love us so much
-you teach us how to play like "guys"
-you encourage us play your guitar
-you love our mommy even when she is crazy
-you make-up funny words and help us do it too
-you think all weather is outside weather and let us run off steam even on cold/hot days
-you read to us whenever, wherever, and however we want (creative voices, etc...)
-you are patient and kind and the best example of we want to be when we grow up
-you have awesome facial hair that makes you way cooler than all the other dads!
You are the greatest dad we know! We love you so much! Love, Eli and Nate

The First of Many!
Eli took a nasty fall this afternoon. He was pretending to be a ghost in Nate's room running around with a blanket over his head! When I asked him to take a seat so he didnt get hurt he procedeed to trip over Nate's book box and smack his face into a protruding safety outlet box! (safe from electric shock not from falling). Oh within seconds his little face and eye swelled up and turned black! These pictures do not truly show how bad this boo-boo is! We had to go to convenient care! They did xrays that showed that everything looks ok for now! We will keep an eye on him for the next few days! Poor baby! He was so brave through it all!
P.S. While we were there the dr. discovered that Eli has 4-6 sores on each side of his tongue heralding the arrival of a lovely new virus...awesome!
Brother Pictures! The hilarious edition!
The Children's Discovery Museum-Oh How We Love You So!
Nate sitting, listening to classical music, and rocking on the "front porch"! So happy!
Eli on the big-boy web climber!
Watch out... here he comes!
Oh! We love the museum in Normal, IL! We love it even more now that Aunt Valmere and Uncle Wyn come and play with us! The boys had the best time. They discovered new things (recycling center, sand box, etc...). Of course the tractors, painting center and building center are always favorites! I love watching how the boy's interests grow and change as they do!

The Miller Park Zoo
Nate drinking the water
Eli on the move! This is a water baby!
Brushing the goats in the petting zoo!
We spent Sunday morning at the Miller Park Zoo in Bloominton. The boys loved the parrots (who whistled at them) the playing river otters and sea lions, and the very agitated tiger who growled the whole time we were there. Eli loved the carousel which Nate hated because the song offended him (seriously). What they liked the most was the water play area we played in at the end of our visit! They had so much fun! To make the day even better we got to have lunch with Aunt Valmere and the boys spent the time running around like wild men, splashing in a bird fountain and eating popsicles (Thanks Aunt Val). We love having family so close!
