The boys and their Daddy

The look-alikes! Eli hanging out with daddy!
Round-headed Nate hanging out with daddy!
These boys love their daddy like crazy! After 9 trips in the last 4 months we are happy to have this big guy home with us for the next 2 months!

The Orpheum Children's Musuem

The King Brother's running wild

Heavy hauler Eli

Little brother gets free ride

Nate loves being bounced high by big brother!
we have an interesting children's museum in town called the Orpheum. It is located in a historic movie theatre and it certainly has fun things for the kids to do (pretend castle and tug boat, legos and trains, giant sand table and water table and an outside dino dig area). It is run down and shabby around the edges but the boys love it!

How do you say "Naughty" in Spanish?

Nate, has proven especially difficult to teach Spanish. The boy has absolutely no interest in learing his body parts, colors or objects in Spanish. When I try to get him to repeat after me he says "NO" or NO (fill in the spanish word). So I figured that porkchop would pick it up from watching big bro and boy was I right. A few days back Nate was eating a sticker (choking hazard) and I said "Nate, take that sticker out of your mouth right now". That little punk looked right at me with those twinkling eyes and said "sticker in BOCA mommy". Hmm... so he only speaks spanish while back-talking! I love it!

P.S. for you non spanish speakers boca=mouth!

The bounce house that keeps on giving

Dear Castle Bounce House, Thank you for saving many a rainy/snowy/stormy day! Without you our basement would be a sad and bounceless void! The boys like you with balls in the middle to bounce on, they like you with a sheet over the top as a tent, and they like you as a wrestling ring/crazy man bounce zone! You are the best present ever!

What does S-M-A-R-T spell?

Happy Boy in the Sun!
Wearing his butterfly wings and flying around the house on a stormy wednesday morning!
Eli continues to amaze us with his creativity and sense of fun! He is such a storyteller and loves for us to write down his stories or letters as he dictates them! They are amazing. I will post one soon! Eli also is big-time into spelling and how words sound right now (phonics though he doesnt know that). He will list off a bunch of letters and ask us what that spells. He will also tell us how he thinks you should spell or sound out words. We think this little man will be reading by August! Our other happy Eli news is that after his ear and adenoid surgery in January this little man has been HEALTHY!!! He has had the usual toddler colds and of course "Hand, Foot, and Mouth"...again (who gets it twice?), but no ear infections, or antibiotic resistant scariness at all! Yeah for good dr.'s!

The Return of Natty-Bobby

Nate is showing off the latest in Home Depot wear! The home depot tool apron and no shirt! That is some beefcake right there!
Yes, he really is that cute!

This one is for you Auntie Bec!
Nate has some new tricks that we think are pretty funny/insane/special! He is quite a little Mr. physical our Nate! He can jump high, run fast (though spastically) and kick, hit or throw anything! He also exceedingly verbose these days. Some of my favorite little gyms "Nate doesn't like..." fill in the blank it could be almost anything or anyone! "I love You Mommy" Yes, that melts my heart every time. Of course, his most favorite word is No! Any time you ask him a question his immediate response is no, then he thinks about it and gives a real answer! It is the gut response of a 2 year old! Nate not only has his letters and numbers memorized but he can actually count! He will point to items or pictures and count out how many items there are, all the way up to 15! Thats a neat trick Natty-Bobby! Most of all, Nate is funny, funny, funny!
